Thank you to everyone who joined us for our virtual parent consultations this week. We hope you found it useful to talk to your child’s teacher about the progress your child is making. We are working really hard to address any gaps your child may have from the summer term lockdown period, and we hope the consultation gave you a good understanding of what your child is working on.
On Wednesday 11th November we observed a two minute silence to remember those who have sadly lost their lives in all wars. The children were respectful and discussed the importance of Remembrance Day.
We would like to say well done to the Year Six and Reception children who have been working hard with their remote learning this week. Thank you to all the parents who are supporting this also – we know it is difficult when you are balancing this with working too.
Thank you for wearing face coverings and adhering to social distancing measures at the beginning and end of the school day. These really are important preventative measures that will help to keep our Academy open. Please continue to leave the site as soon as you have collected or dropped off your child.
One of the ways to minimise the risk of coronavirus is to keep buildings well ventilated. This does mean that we will be keeping classroom windows open, whatever the weather! The heating will be on to try to keep everyone warm but if your child is cold, you may wish to send your child in with additional layers, under their school uniform.
Primary School Places
Parents with a child, due to start primary school in September 2021 can now apply for a place online between 9 November and 15 January 2021. If you know of a family interested in joining The Flitch Green Academy, please signpost them to the Academy website or Facebook page to see our Virtual Tour.
Have a relaxing weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next week and welcoming back our Year Six and Reception children and staff.
